PRESS RELEASE: New Associate Joins Glendale Dental Centre: Serving Niagara for Over 35 Years

Glendale Dental Centre has a strong reputation in St. Catharines (and beyond) for their commitment to developing meaningful dental relationships by partnering with patients in their oral care. This reputation is rooted in a deep understanding that oral health is an important facet of overall long-term wellness; and the goal of each associate is to become a patient’s personal, lifelong dental coach.

In the spirit of continually building a robust team to provide their surrounding community with the highest standard of oral care, Glendale Dental Centre has welcomed a new associate into their fold: Dr. Amanda Slamka.

After receiving an Undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences from Brock University in 2013, Dr. Slamka completed the Doctor of Dental Medicine program at the University of Sydney, Australia. To further her hands-on experience, she worked in a rural British Columbia community before returning to St. Catharines to join Glendale Dental.


“I’m passionate about dental education,” says Dr. Slamka, “and I want my patients to feel involved in their dental care + decision-making process. I want everyone to feel comfortable and confident at every appointment.”

Dr. Slamka enjoys all areas of General Dentistry – but she’s specifically interested in working with family groups: “Having been raised in St. Catharines, I’m thrilled to be back in my hometown and practicing dentistry surrounded by my family and loved ones.” When not immersed in her profession, she loves trying different restaurants within the community, playing soccer, and crocheting in her spare time.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Amanda Slamka to our team,” says Dr. Diston. “Dr. Slamka is passionate about people, which is evident in her compassion and gentle approach to patient care.  She is eager to support our family of patients, while expanding her reach to the greater community.”
